  SPECIAL CLASS CONCRETE

PRECAST

Concrete used in pre cast factories where early age strength and slump control can be met to meet your lifting requirements.

LIGHT-WEIGHT CONCRETE

Concrete where the density is limited to reduce weight if needed.

greenstar concrete

Saving our natural resources by using suitable recycled and waste products.

Flexural

Concrete where flexural strength is specified at 28 or 56 days.

post tensioned concrete

Concrete that has been specified as having an early age strength requirement.

Usually a compressive strength target is required before stressing can be completed.

shrinkage limited

Concrete Shrinkage occurs in all concrete products. The amount concrete shrinks is relative to the amount of water loss in the hydration process as the concrete is being placed and finished. Quality of cement and raw materials also a major factor.

By designing a concrete mix using maximum coarse aggregate and keeping the concrete moist (curing) as long as possible during setting times shrinkage, can be limited but not always prevented.

waterproof concrete

Addition of additives for the use of pool, top decks and other wet areas.

fibre reinforced concrete

Concrete where steel or polypropylene fibres are added at the time of batching.

Generally used for spraying or heavy duty industrial/ commercial applcations.

grout

Grout concrete that is used for piling.

no fines

A low density concrete used where drainage is required.

kerb and gutter

Kerb and Gutter concrete being placed using a kerb machine.

shot crete

Concrete designed to be sprayed onto near or vertical face typically for swimming pools, retaining walls, dams, reservoirs and stabilisation work.

pool

“Spraymix” being used in the manufacture of a concrete swimming pool.
